Watching a band grow is a lot like watching a nephew get older. It’s both awkward and delightful. You may not fully understand everything they do at first but you just have to support it. Crime In Stereo’s new album is a lot like that.
Crime In Stereo is a 5-piece rock/indie/post-hardcore band hailing from Long Island. Most music sites and news outlets will refer to them as a “punk” band but let me be the first to tell you that this band is no more punk than Avril Lavigne. However, that’s not to say that they suck ass – far from it.
The band has sort of a garage rock meets college radio with an attitude thing going on and it’s pretty sweet. Their newest album, I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone, is their 4th full-length and it showcases just how much the band has progressed since their debut in 2004. This album shows a more well-rounded and matured band that has grown comfortable with their abilities but not complacent. They push the boundaries of their genre and stay aggressive in every song they write. Check it out for yourself.
