Vic Ruggiero

As the frontman and lead songwriter for the legendary NYC ska/reggae/lounge act, The Slackers, Vic Ruggiero is a busy man. Between penning Slackers' hits and constant touring, Ruggiero still finds time to churn out solo albums and even play some solo gigs.

Among his long list of vinyl releases and small-run EPs, Ruggiero has 4 full-length solo albums, including his newest On The Rag Time, which is simply Vic singing and playing a piano (but don't let that fool you, the album is freaking dope). As a solo artist, Ruggiero manages to stay away from ska and reggae - on the whole - and veers toward blues, soul and lounge-ish in his signature raspy voice while playing a variety of instruments: piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, harmonica, drums (you name it, he can play it).

Top notch song writing, an undeniably cool style and distinctive vocals, check out Vic Ruggiero.
