Theory of Flight

Although bands come and go, there are few new bands that believe their music is so powerful it can create a movement much less inspire a generation. In Las Vegas alone there are many bands that aspire to such a goal. However the difference between aspiring to it and actually living it is all the difference.
Theory of Flight is a band that achieves their goals. Coming together a year and a half ago, Vince and Beau started a project. Little did they know the project would bring together musicians from around the country, creating the lineup fans presently see on stage: Vince, Beau, Joey, Stephen, Tyler and John.
Even though Vince is considered the "brainchild" of the operation, it is each and every band members' diverse musical inspirations that blend into the sound that is enjoyed by audiences wherever they play.
The goal of their music goes beyond just having something entertaining to listen to. The belief behind their music is to harness their growing pains and hardships into something more productive. Their music reaches out to listeners of all ages; to give each and every person a lifeline to help them navigate through whatever trials and tribulations they encounter on their journey through life.
Due to their many concerts in filled venues, this band has touched lots of people; from the little kid wanting to be the next rock star, to the soldier heading to Iraq. A few months ago, a soldier approached one of the band members explaining that their music inspired him and helped him mentally and emotionally prepare to defend our country. Music so inspiring to give courage to a warrior from the greatest nation is something that cannot be learned; it merely flows from one heart to another. The soldier liked it so much that he asked the band to have another concert, this time for his fellow troops in the armed forces that will be deployed with him. They will play the benefit concert later this month.
The name Theory of Flight may project thoughts of planes, birds, and even a feather blowing in the wind. This band is anything but something that tangible. Their music is clean and together; their passion and desire is raw and pure. Most of all their eyes are set not at affecting a genre, but rather a generation.
Some facts about the Theory of Flight band members:
Beau (30) - has not been able to successfully watch an entire episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition without crying
Vince (27) - when he was 12 he watched the Star Wars trilogy every day for the entire summer
Joey (25) - can make 3 loops with his tongue
Tyler (25) - was a Holy Paladin for the Horde when he used to play World of Warcraft for 1 month
Stephen (29) - was never able to beat the original Nintendo Mario
John (19) - has a thing for Hawaiian girls
*NOTE: The band would like to pay tribute to a special young man, Brandon, who has been a source of inspiration to these musical artists by means of his battle with cancer. Although he lost his battle to Leukemia this December the band promises to 'Burn On' and continue to make change in the world as he would have wanted.
