Red Wine Rewind

Out of over one hundred band applicants for the Battle for Bite, Red Wine Rewind earned their spot in the final four and will take the local stage at one of the biggest events of the year, Mix 94.1’s Bite of Las Vegas on Saturday, October 17th, 2009.
Although most bands have a hard time confining their sound to a specific genre, this band truly falls within the “grey” area of genre identification. Red Wine Rewind draws very particular influential elements from some very noteworthy bands. There’s a slight essence of mainstream pop-rock from the All American Rejects, a little bit of the energy and fun of Cartel, and many other layers that just elude me…perhaps the playfulness of Bowling for Soup? In either case, what is noticeable to any and all audiences are, these guys know how to have fun, and how to make fun music.
If enjoying their high energy, exciting shows aren’t enough to satisfy your craving for a good time, fans can catch up on their latest adventures on YouTube. Among the videos of their local performances, including one at a UNLV vs. Sacramento State football game tailgate, are a few that are sure to make you laugh as you get to know these six guys off stage.
Red Wine Rewind has limitless potential and an obvious knack for giving fans what they want to see. They have an ability to take different elements of bands and fuse them effortlessly into a sound that will catapult these guys from the stage to the airwaves in no time (If getting a spot at Bite of Las Vegas alongside a band like Theory of Flight isn’t a testament to that, I don’t know what is). These guys are going somewhere and if you’re not a fan, become one, for they’re destined for greatness; watch out Las Vegas and better yet…watch out rock world!
Here are a few fun facts about the guys of Red Wine Rewind:
Vince: plays a pretty sick harmonica; his first gig was playing the guitar at his 8th grade talent show.
Jake: played college baseball for UNLV his freshman year; he hasn’t taken music seriously until about 2 years ago.
Tyler: played college baseball before he got injured at had surgery; his mom also buys and washes all his clothes for him.
Kevin: is one of the few red heads in Las Vegas the band members have ever met; he will also bust out with random words that confuse his band mates.
Charlie: auditioned for the world-renowned Julliard with the marimbas.
Tim: likes to sleep naked; his favorite restaurant is Sweet Tomatoes.
