If speed is everything, there is one band that has proven themselves as a front runner. Having come together in November of 2007, they have already caused enough commotion in the Las Vegas scene; the ripples of which have been felt throughout the country, much less the globe. A true testament of their reach is on their Myspace page. Only added a week ago, the band put a map that logs the location of each individual that visits their page. In a single week it recorded over 1,300 visitors spanning from across the United States, and stretching as far as the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan.
So what sets this band apart from their Las Vegas peers?
This is better understood by simply looking at their interests. Aside from the big names in this industry like Metro Station, the Higher and New Found Glory, this band has other interests such as techno and classical! Yes, classical. We're talking Mozart and Beethoven. Influences like these bad boys bring a new light to their music. In fact, looking at lead singer Monty, Opera isn't the first thing that comes to mind; even though that's his college major.
Rewind a few months back and this band wouldn't be a thought. It was early November where Zach met up with Monty and Josh. The story goes, they were playing around and Josh, Monty and Zach decided to join together and create a band. Add in Jesse, Zach's friend toward the end of the month, and "viola!" there's your current line up. Together their mixture creates pure musical works of art.
The sound that is produced by these young artists starts their creation in the minds of Zach and Jesse. About half way through the song they present it to the rest of the group. Once the other members approve of it, Josh, Zach and Jesse sit down to lay out the lyrics. Within the first few weeks of their band's establishment they had already laid out 5 songs. Now, with the high traffic on their Myspace and the countless demands for an album, these guys are planning a trip to Los Angeles to record.
