XPOZ has always been about supporting local upcoming bands that have a good following and support what we're all about. With that said, there is a band that has been XPOZ fanatics since they came together about 5 months ago, Death at a Funeral.
It all started with Dylan, the drummer, wanting to get a band together for the past 2 years. One by one he asked people he thought would complement the band, and sooner or later got the lineup we see today.
Their musical inspirations include popular bands like Underoath, Devil Wears Prada and Circa Survive. When asked what sets them apart from other bands, they playfully answer that it's "all about having fun." They go further explaining that although their genre of electronic screamo rock isn't new, the way they carry themselves is. They play songs that they enjoy and do whatever they please.
Although their philosophy on creative approach may not work with some bands, it sure works for them. Their fun, carefree attitude has anchored them an 1,100 Myspace friend fan base that's growing daily. These guys understand that it's better to put out a few goods songs rather than many mediocre songs. They have two up on their Myspace page that they "poured their hearts into."
They're humble and grounded, asking their fans to comment them and not be afraid to send a message. They always respond to fans and further provided their personal Myspace pages if anyone wants to message a member individually. With an attitude like that, these guys are hitting their mark. They are making themselves known as music artists as well as every day guys coming together to create some wicked stuff!

Ryan (19): is majoring in music and film at CSN.
Patrick (17): skates. (yes, that is exactly what he said...skates)
Wesley (19): works 3 jobs, yet he finds himself still broke.
Shane (19): is jobless so he spends his time writing music and drawing pictures.
Dylan (15): doesn't wear underwear.
