Scream The Lie

Formed in December 2010, Scream the Lie is a 5-piece Metalcore band that has not only been killing it in Vegas, but has also just earned the distinction of being named the Xpoz Featured Band for June.

After a few lineup changes since the band’s inception, STL has solidified their lineup, or as the call it, their brotherhood.  There is no ‘leader’ in this band. Every member has an equal say, an equal share of responsibilities and an equal hand in the songwriting process. Although they define their genre as metalcore, the band sees that as a loose definition and enjoys evolving their sound.

“The fans can definitely expect more of a “core” aspect on the newer songs. Our old EP was very metal oriented and we have made the change to a heavier style since picking up new members,” the band says of their newer work. They do, however, name such bands as Miss May I, August Burns Red, We Came As Romans and The Devil Wears Prada a their current influences.

When asked about their best experience as a band (so far), it was a toss up for the guys. Battle of the Fans ’12 and playing Hard Rock Café with Suffokate in 2011 came in at a dead tie for Scream The Lie.  With an ever growing fan base and increased exposure, we’re sure that you’ll be seeing plenty more of STL, and we’re also sure that they’ll have plenty of awesome experiences on the horizon to rival their current favorites.
