Leather Bound Crooks

Leather Bound Crooks (LBC) has been doing their thing since the summer of 2011. Would-be members Jawaun and Dylan started making music together in central Vegas and all the pieces just sort of fell into place.
The 4-piece rock group finds inspiration from such artists as Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Minus The Bear, Brand New and Ace Enders, among others. Their style doesn’t adhere to any one pre-packaged genre though. Always cohesive and tight, LBC’s style runs the gamut from folk to alternative to classic progression, and does it in a way that is both seamless and aesthetically pleasing.
When asked about their writing process, the band, who must have been hungry at the time, likened it to making pizza:
“The creative process for LBC when it comes to songs is kinda like making a pizza. Jawaun brings the band a raw base of a song or “dough” which includes the composition & normally full lyrics (sauce) Then Dylan, Brent & Jake are free to place whatever influence the music inspires (toppings) We then put it all together and finalize the structure (baking).”
Be on the lookout for LBC shows in the near future and mark your calendars for November; when LBC’s E.P., “Forward Pace,” will be available for download on iTunes.
